Factorylux is a UK lighting manufacturer with two online stores. They provide a variety of lighting products, and website visitors can also generate a PDF file with descriptions, images and the specification code of the selected product.factorylux.com
The project was to replace and improve the company’s old websites that were on WordPress and Magento 1.9. Both were to be migrated to Magento 2 so that the two different domains could be connected to a single back-end system and warehouse-management system.
There were some custom features that we needed to add, such as:
We were also tasked with presenting the user with the choice of different product attributes, resulting in the generation of a PDF file that included a description, images and the product specification code.
We needed to fix the issue of slow loading of product pages with a huge number of option dependencies.
At the beginning of the project, we selected new visual templates and installed Magento multi-store shops with different domains’ extension. This module enables the management of different stores and warehouse-management systems through one account. We also migrated two stores to Magento 2.2.6.
We have combined two existing sites into one Magento 2 site with a single back-end management system. Now, Factorylux has a fully functional, customised online shop on a Magento 2 platform, with custom features for an enjoyable customer experience.
We had the website ‘peer reviewed’ by a 3rd party developer - code / architecture / etc = good! Nice work.
